Simon and the Loaf of Bread
Little Simon recently went to the grocery store looking to buy a loaf of bread for his family. He lived in a small Pennsylvania town in which farmers live but no one produces bread anymore because it was no longer beneficial. See this town was pretty self sustaining about 50 years ago but when the local Weis moved in and started to dominate certain parts of the market. Almost everyone in the town was able to work in town before Weis but a lot of people lost their jobs afterwards. The wheat farmer stopped farming 20 years ago because everyone started to buy their bread at Weis for fraction of the price. The problem was that the farmer used his bread to trade with other people for food and that farmer was Simon's grandfather. He had to go work at a factory and because of this other people in the town lost their trade. Simon's grandfather paid them with cash but that didn't help anyone else because they needed a good in exchange for their good(sometimes they got lucky and an out of towner would purchase their food and that is how they were able to pay for Weis bread). Since they lost a customer, other places had to ask for more good in return and eventually everyone had to quit their job cause people were losing customers to big stores. Now Simon has to buy a loaf of bread that he doesn't know where it is from.
